Ever heard of that old saying "Everybody's Good at something"? Everybody is, no matter how small or trivial it may seem, be good at what you do, whatever it is. I never thought I could or would write again, but writing was always something that I always wanted to do.
Through encouragement, I started, and it is one of the best things that I could have done for myself. It gave me a new outlook, I began to feel better about a lot of things, I started looking inside and found that long lost talent, the gift that I had always been told I would never be good at.
Looking back at past mistakes writing down my feelings and thoughts was something I should have been doing a long time ago. I am saying this to say it's never too late to get a new beginning. It took a lot for me to write some of the things that I did, because it brought back a lot of unpleasant memories, memories that I had long buried and forgotten.
People always say "Forgive and Forget" what they don't tell you is the hardest part about Forgiving is Forgetting. Mental Abuse, Emotional Abuse, and Verbal Abuse can be heart breaking, but the plus side is once you find yourself, nothing can stop you, just keep forging ahead. Setting your sights on bigger, broader and better things will give you hop, strength and the endurance to overcome many obstacles.
When I found a new home, a place that I could feel at home in, it was like something had been lifted off of me, it had. I had a second chance at life, at being happy really happy for what seemed like the first time in my life. Don't listen to someone else, listen to yourself, you're the one living the miserable marriage, unhappy and sad, putting on a happy face, pretending that all's well. All the while you are crying and dying inside, I Know, I've Been There, Done that and it was not easy. I found me, you'll find you. Just keep holding your head up, standing up straight and don't bend over, because no one can ride your back if you're not bent over.
Is your frustration to have a child taking over you? Do you think it is time to adopt a child? Are you ready for the responsibility or do you simply want to have a child? What prospective adoptive parents must realize is that adoption is a lifelong commitment.
Adoption is more of a personal decision rather than an internal issue. It is no walk in the park to adopt a child, not to mention that the high costs of adoption makes many couples back off. And what comes after adoption is the responsibility and obligations of a parent that are relinquished to you by the birthmother. Parenting in itself is one of the most challenging jobs in the world. Thus, you need to be prepared for the ups and downs of being a parent of an adopted child. When you're not psychologically prepared for these, it's best to defer adoption to a later time.
Thousands of married couples as well as singles choose to adopt a child for several reasons, one of which is to build a family of their own. There are right and wrong reasons for choosing to adopt a child and it's important to address them carefully.
Wrong reasons to adopt a child bringing home an infant or an older child who would bring life to your home is a wonderful thing. But not all prospective adoptive parents share the same aim. If you're trying to adopt a child to save a marriage then forget about adoption. You're not giving the child the assurance of a loving and nurturing family.
In addition, do not look into adoption if you're trying to provide someone an heir, out of jealousy because all your friends have babies and you don't, if it's due to external pressures such as those coming from your parents.
Adoption today isn't like how it was decades ago. Adoption agencies are now required to obtain state licenses to operate and not everyone qualify to adopt a child. Some agencies, both public and private, can be selective in choosing prospective adoptive parents while children are now protected more than ever with stringent laws.
Who can adopt a child? Affluence does not automatically qualify you to adopt a child. Rather, the agency ensures you can provide a child's basic needs, such as stability, lifetime commitment, permanence, and the opportunity to be part of a loving family. Any histories of divorce, counseling (personal or marital), and physical disability does not reduce your chances of adoption.
Adoption can be a noble undertaking when pursued for the right reasons. Visit your nearest adoption agency for more information on how to adopt a child.
It is innate in man to desire for beauty. Some may say they really do not care about how they look, but certain actions can clearly say that they do. Even if it is not as extreme has having you face slathered with makeup at all times, the mere fact of taking a bath, rummaging through your closet to look for the best outfit, and looking at the mirror before leaving the house is enough to say you want to look good when you leave the house. There is nothing wrong with it. Actually, it is even better when you meet people and look clean, presentable and lovely, just as long as you do not look exaggerated.
Since most of us really are aiming for that look, take these simple tips on how to ensure looking your best everyday:
1. Sleep well the night before. Lack of sleep makes your face look tired the next day.
2. Eat healthy food at all times to ensure you have a healthy looking body and to maintain the right state of mind. Never miss a meal in a day.
3. Style your hair. It does not matter whether you use hair solutions or hair straighteners. Just as long as you keep it nice and neat, you are good to go.
4. Do take a shower to be clean at all times. You can be born looking naturally beautiful. However, what good is your beauty if you stink?
5. Wear your clothes properly and make sure they are wrinkle free. Also, check your clothing before deciding to wear them. They might have stains that can look very untidy.
6. Do wear make up. Make sure it matches what you are wearing. As much as possible, do wear light makeup in the day.
7. Brush you teeth before you leave home and if you are anticipating a conversation with colleagues.
8. Walk with confidence and a smile on your face. People who are in a happy disposition can be very attractive.
9. Always practice grace under pressure. No matter how difficult things may be at work, keep your composure and maintain your poise.
10. Take time to relax no matter what kind of activity you are doing. If you do not know how to take a break, you can get burnt out. As much as possible you need to handle the many stresses of your job or in school. Take time to retouch your face with make up or restyle your hair with your hair straighteners, grab a coffee or just sit still and take deep breaths. Do anything that can temporarily disconnect you with what is causing the pressure.
Looking beautiful or presentable everyday is really easy. All you need is proper management of yourself. On top of that, you do not have to have a very high IQ to figure out how to take care of yourself. If you are intelligent enough to understand the intricacies of your job then you can also do well in understanding practical means on how to care for yourself.
